Any suggestions? This one is going to be sooner. Factors considered: mpg, hp/wt, can it fit everyone(2 adults, 2 carseats(arghhh), 2 dogs...I know that some of the cars can't), is it the hotness(for one reason or the other)?, price (trying to keep it sub 30k)
Very Green, 50-ish mpg, small (but roomy for size), will fit all 4 and a poog (probably not a bullmastiff)
Honda Ridgeline, nice and big, we already have a pick up and a Landcruiser, 16/21 mpg
2008 Subaru WRX, new hatchback, 224 hp (but less weight), not the STi
Honda Element SC, 28 mpg, 4 seats (not 5), roomy, only 2wd
Mazdaspeed 3, 263hp, Fwd, premium unleaded, freakin fast sleeper

Now in Windows flavor
Safari 3 Public Beta
Safari, Apple's Browser, is now available in our windows world. It's pretty sweet looking and should work with most of what you search on the interweb. I think this was a concession to make the iPhone look more universal. Now I'm one step closer to a Mac.

I know, here it is again, but they are finally releasing it this month and I am putting it in my Needs list. Save me a bed in the Emergency Department after graduation.

Solar Electrical Vehicles
Solar Electrical Vehicles
These guys have designed a photo voltaic panel that fits perfectly with the roof line of the Toyota Prius. It allows the Prius to operate in electric mode up to 20 miles per day adding up to 29% in fuel economy.
The system costs $2000-$4000 and the payback time is said to be 2-3 years...To date, the company has manufactured nearly 100 of the kits to individual buyers. “Four dollars is the break-even point for these kits,” Johanson said. “Then it pays for itself in two years..."
Oh, and they're working on a Highlander application.
