Old Skool meets New Skool

HULGER US
I hate having to talk on my actual cell phone for too long, so I'm getting the P*Phone by Hulger.
- Plugs directly into MAC + PC
- Plug-and-play, no need for software installation
- Works with all VoIP services (Skype, iChat, GoogleTalk, Vonage, Yahoo, etc.)
- Phone can plug directly into USB*ADAPTOR ideal for use with laptop when travelling or in a WiFi zone
- Adaptors are included for compatibility with the majority of mobile/cell phones
- Reduces exposure to radiation from mobile/cell phones by around 95%
- Button answers and ends calls on most mobile/cell phones
- Handset Cord Length 1.5 metres

It doesn't hurt that the white ones are 40% off. Yes, it's a bit cheese ball, but that works for me too.

Finally...kinda

Google Calendar Sync: Getting Started
Two-way or one-way syncing between Google Calendars and Outlook. The Catch: it only syncs with the primary calendar in Goocal. I want to say so far, but it took google this long to get this far in the sync. Yahoo sync had this a long time ago.

Holy effen Peepoo!

Australian girl changes blood group, immune system
"Brennan's body changed blood group from O negative to O positive when she became ill while on drugs to avoid rejection of the organ by her body's immune system.

Her new liver's blood stem cells then invaded her body's bone marrow to take over her entire immune system, meaning the teen no longer needs anti-rejection drugs."

They're calling this a "one-in-six-billion miracle." That sounds like one person on earth. I don't know when doctors became statistician, but if they can figure out how this happened, rich people everywhere will be able to live longer, 2.0 lives.

GrandCentral: The New Way to Use Your Phones

GrandCentral: The New Way to Use Your Phones
This one's kinda big. Grandcentral give you one phone number that rings all of your phone: home, work, and cell. Some of it's services include:

Never miss a call you want to take, never take a call you want to miss
-Have one phone number you can keep for life
-Choose which of you phones ring, even by group or caller
-Screen callers and ListenIn before accepting the call
-Protect your privacy by blocking annoying or uninvited callers

Check out the link to see even more features. They have way to access everything from mobile phones, so I'm sure there will be mobile functionality that some fruity phones don't even have yet. Service has temporarily been shifted to a beta invite only, but when it's ready I'm sure it will be available to all of us in it's googly free form. Gotta love'em.

My google's better than...

Fugitive Thought
"Gmail users receiving attached documents now have the ability to view them via Google Docs and Spreadsheets, which presents a sleek in-browser word processor interface. Emails arriving with a document attached will now display a "open as a google document" in addition to the usual "View as HTML" and "Download" options."

Google Docs and Spreadsheets
I'm really interested in trying out the collaborative features of docs and spreadsheet. I just have to figure out a good reason to try it. Docs also exports to Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, RTF, PDF, and HTML.

The Male Pill

Revolutionary hour-before-sex male pill on the anvil:
"...the new pill being researched by scientists at King's College London, contains chemicals that prevent ejaculation and could be in tablet-form. Men could take one daily, just like the female pill, or have one a few hours before sex as a one-off contraceptive. Sexual satisfaction is not affected and the absence of hormones means that a man's fertility should return to normal within hours of stopping the treatment. 'The non-hormonal male pill could be taken when and as needed,' researcher Dr Nnaemeka Amobi was quoted by the daily Mail, as saying.. 'If the man was taking the pill over a period of several months and decided to come off it, we would expect his fertility to return just as quickly as if he had taken it on a one-off basis,' fellow researcher Dr Christopher Smith added. The contraceptive was inspired by the observation that some drugs used to treat schizophrenia and high blood pressure also prevent ejaculation. However, side-effects including dizziness and drowsiness mean these medicines could not be marketed as contraceptives. "
