2007 Honda Element SC
Honda pulled ahead again in our race for the next car. Retuned suspension, 18" rims, ground effects, slicker interior, and 5-speed automatic putting out 22/27 number. Where do I sign? It's not 4WD (yet), but the mpg's and the fact that we have two other very capable 4wd's makes that a nil issue.

Baby Foxes Going to the Dogs
"Each generation has been selectively bred for tameness—fearlessness and nonaggression toward humans. By now the foxes in the project behave like pet dogs, barking and wagging their tails at humans."
Nsational Geographic
"As Belyaev had predicted, other changes appeared along with the tameness, even though they had not been selected for. The tame silver foxes had begun to show white patches on their fur, floppy ears, rolled tails and smaller skulls."

Blondes on Video

AmandaAcrossAmerica
Post Rocketbooming Amanda Congdon and her stretchy shirts are doing a sponsored 5-week trip across this great land of ours on her way to LA. It's got to be more entertaining than the hot British chic that took over the Rocketboom reigns. I would give her a week to get into the swing of it though.

Breath and stop.

Cool Tool: Rebreathers: "Rebreathers are underwater life support systems that permit you to stay longer at deeper depths. It's not hard to make a normal scuba tank last for an hour (or more) very near the surface. At 60 feet, this duration drops to less than half an hour. At a hundred feet, maybe 15-20 minutes. A recreational-grade rebreather, however, will give you several hours at any depth in the 0-100 ft. range. So the deeper you dive, the more advantageous the rebreather becomes. Rebreathers always give you more time, but especially give you more time at greater depths."
We're talking about possible 3 day underwater life support. Freakin' crazy!

Just put it together and you'll have one of the fastest cars on the road. A purist wet dream. I want the SV with a Civic Type R engine and drivetrain. Possibly south of $40,000. I would just be getting it so others would think I was successful. That, and I'd be going freakin' fast.

The Lakers are in Southern California known for their abundance of lakes. Well man-made ones. If by any chance we end up staying here for more than a year after nursing school I was informed we were getting a boat. If that horrible thing happens this is the one we will get. Here's a bunch of boat propaganda courtesy of Seadoo:
"Everything on the new Speedster Wake was designed for extreme sport and serious air. A new ballast tank allows you to fill and empty water in minutes at the touch of a button. It also comes with PerfectPassTM Pro Speed Control with eight different speed controls to help you personalize and create the perfect wake for different riders. Spotters can also speak to boarders through a P.A. system connected to two tower speakers. On the Speedster Wake, you'll take the sport to another level."
Did ya read that, "Another level". That'll get me to level 2! Where do I sign.

"Breeze can visually sense and react through 360 degrees, allowing her to reach out to you and others whenever you are near. This is not a dancing bush, the motion is subtle and artistic, and at the same time, surreal."

This is done with nitinol wires that bend when exposed to a current. This is going to have some interesting tech apllications in the future. Think: guard trees, temp sensors, online activity, plant droops when B is on a pron site, etc.

Thou shall not steal...Especially if you're a skeevy Idiot

How NOT to steal a SideKick II
Hahahhaa some dumb chic stole a T-mobile sidekick that she found in a taxi and proceeded to take sleezy pictures of herself. The problem is Sidekick send any pics taken to the users account, so they have pics of this so very intelligent perp.
"Some people are asking how we have their pics and AOL name. The way a Sidekick works, is that when u use it, all the data on it get’s uploaded automatically to the T-Mobile server. So pictures u have taken, AOL names and passwords u have used, etc are all on the server. So when my friend turned on her new Sidekick and put her new SIM card in, all the data downloaded on to her phone. And that’s how we have everything. "
Update:"Tonight, the NYPD picked up Sasha, the girl that either paid for the Sidekick from a cabbie, on the subway, or got it from her mother—their story isn't quite straight yet."

Curiosity, humor surround June 6, 2006: "In 1980, a TV host and others rigged the number 666 to come up in a Pennsylvania lottery drawing. It's a number that is part of every UPC barcode on groceries (a coincidence according to the code's inventor). With biblical coding, 666 also is the number for the WWW of the World Wide Web.

The math of 666 is also open to biblical interpretation and manipulation. Just points out that 666 is the sum of all the numbers on a roulette wheel. Other oddities include variations on pi and products of prime number multiplication."

And from the more reasonable Mind Control forum:
"EVERY BARCODE HAS THIS 666 MARK OF THE BEAST.

PART OF THE SECRET WORLD GOVERNMENT AGENDA TOWARD THE NEW WORLD ORDER IS TO HAVE EVERYONE IN THE WESTERN WORLD MICROCHIPPED BEFORE THE YEAR 2005. EACH INJECTED MICROPCHIP WILL CONTAIN COMPLETE DETAILS OF THE INDIVIDUAL INCLUDING A PERSONALLY NUMBERED BARCODE.

MICROCHIP RESEARCH SCIENTISTS DECLARE THAT THE MOST EFFECTIVE PLACE IN THE BODY TO BE MICROCHIPPED (DUE TO BODY TEMPERATURE) IS IN THE BACK OF THE HAND OR FOREHEAD.

A MICROCHIPPED PERSON CAN BE VERY EASILY LOCATED AND MONITORED WHEREVER THEY ARE FROM ANY OF THE MIND CONTROL COMPUTER CENTRES ALREADY IN OPERATION AROUND THE GLOBE.

TECHNICALLY, THIS IS ACHIEVED VIA THE (SO-CALLED) MOBILE PHONE NETWORK AND MOBILE PHONE ANTENNAS AND MASTS NOW COVERING EVERY DENSELY POPULATED AREA IN THE WESTERN WORLD AND ARE CONTINUALLY BEING ERECTED AT AN ALARMING RATE.

MORE IMPORTANTLY HOWEVER, A MICROCHIPPED PERSON CAN EASILY BE (AND WILL BE) MANIPULATED AND CONTROLLED BY THE TRANSMITTING OF SPECIFIC MICROWAVE AND ELF FREQUENCIES TO THE BRAIN VIA THE MICROCHIP THAT CAN TOTALLY ALTER A PERSONS NORMAL THOUGHT AND EMOTIONAL PATTERNS AND THEREFORE BEHAVIOURAL RESPONSES.

DON'T BE A ROBOT - DON'T BE MICROCHIPPED!! "
